Happy Birthday to Me
Why does this happen every year, I have some expectation of what my actual birthday day will be like and for some reason, that day never meets my expectation? I am thankful that I get a gift for my birthday and I celebrate it. Some families don't even celebrate birthdays, and I'm not among them. I am one of those people who really like to celebrate my birthday on a real day. If you don't do it, your actual birthday is like any other day, and who wants that when you're about to celebrate? When I go out to dinner for my birthday, I like it to be my actual birthday, not the weekend closest to my birthday. I want to open my presentation on the exact day, not when it is convenient for everyone else to present it. I do not want to share this day with anyone else; I want it to be special. I know this may sound selfish, but, after all, it is not that this day that only comes once a year is really all about. I didn't really do anything to be born, it was for my parents, yet I am receiving gifts. If it is not about being selfish, then why do we give a birthday present to the person with the birthday and not to the person who actually worked that day… his / her mother?
What should I say on my birthday?
Yes, you may be thinking that other people have the same birthday. I understand that other people can have the same birthday as me, but how often do we know someone on our birthday? Many people do not. I do as it happens, but he is the little kid of my best friend and does not live around me. I think we all deserve a different set to make this day special. Why is it that many people want their day to be special, but when it is someone else's birthday, it feels like another day to us? As you get older, it seems that a birthday becomes less important for everyone except the person whose birthday it is. People start accepting your birthday only as "Happy Birthday" as if it is an obligation, an act, even an attempt to pronounce two words. You get fewer presentations, favors, and attention. If anything, you should be more, because at least when you grow up you can really appreciate and enjoy these things. How many of us remember our second birthday? Or even our 10th? 14th? 19th? What did you do? what did you get? These short birthdays should be less extraordinary. As we get older, our birthdays just need to get better and better, as if you just don't know how it can top it all.
I think it all starts the night before my birthday. For as long as I can remember, I go to bed that night hoping to wake up, change, be new. Only the most excellent dreams occur in my sleep, and the next day, the dreams are fulfilled. After that, I hope everyone celebrates with me; Everyone is circling me with confetti around me, so throughout the day, I feel like a queen (not that I want people to vouch for me). Someone came to my house and there are flowers and balloons everywhere, what a surprise. I wonder how it happened without my knowledge. What a brilliant person who did this! I get calls from people I talk to occasionally; But for some reason, every year, they remember my birthday… how thinking about them. They remember my birthday because they know that I remember them. Everyone wants to take me out and do fun things you don't do regularly, go to a fancy restaurant, do adventures, and participate in spectacular events. The day is the happiest and the possibilities are limitless. I arrive at my house to wait for a surprise birthday party. All my friends are celebrating with me, a grand time is coming. The man of my dreams walks… The man I have waited for my whole life. I know before I meet her. He is there, and there is a quick spark and bond, yet he does not consume all my time or thoughts. I am in the next moment, knowing that I and I will meet later because we have the rest of our lives. I've mingled with all my friends, who have heard a lot about each other, but never met. They meet and take everyone together. Toasts are shared, as are letters from people who have had an impact on my life. It is morning weevil, and the night is ending. I finally go to sleep tired of the most wonderful day someone has known. I know that my dreams will be filled with my reality tonight. I sleep just to wake up…
My Reality. From year to year, this never happens. You think I'll learn by now, but I still haven't. I still go to bed thinking that I will wake up and do something old, sensible, clever…. I never do I think this is where the disappointment of my birthday begins. Frankly, I don't remember any excellent dreams the night before my birthday. If I do, they are never completed. In all my birthdays, none of them have included confetti or emotion like the queen. I know the sun comes every day, although I can still think, on my birthday, it came just for me. It did not choose its color based on my opinion. I never received flowers or balloons on my birthday, which is very sad. I have been longing for and wishing for a surprise birthday party, but this has still only happened in my dreams. I miss all my friends and family's birthdays but very few remember me. If they do, I do not receive a phone call. I sometimes don't have to go out to dinner for my birthday. If I do, it is the usual restaurant. The only adventure I have is thinking about the adventure I want to do. The great event I attended on my birthday… well, I never remember. I have never met the man of my dreams, although I still hold on to hope. It can be interesting to meet all my friends. Have you ever thought about what it would be like for all your friends whom you talk to meet with your other friends? I have never received a toast or a letter in any capacity, although the idea is a good one.
If we all help other people actually celebrate their birthday, and don't let it seem like the other day, then maybe those people repeat the gesture. In this way, you are enjoying more than just your birthday in a year. Make someone else feel like a queen or give a surprise birthday party to a friend. It doesn't necessarily have to be extraordinary ... on this, it is really thought that matters. Put yourself in her shoes. You want someone to give you a surprise party, then give it to someone else. you know what?! She will feel so good that when your birthday comes, she will do the same for you. Eventually, she realizes how special she feels and wants to pass that feeling along to you. When you give something special, important, and memorable to someone else, it also evokes the feelings that matter. You see in his eyes, gestures, smiles, and enthusiasm what you have done for him. You have helped him feel that he is the most important person to you, his friends, and the world. You have allowed him to feel that he is a blessing, which is treasured and can never be replaced. You will feel his energy and know that you have given him this tremendous gift. As a bonus, she will reconsider what she does on your birthday. She will remember her, thinking, feelings, emotions, and confidence, and she will put some extra thoughts for you so that you realize that the queen should be on your day.
I never went to bed tired on the night of my birthday, but in previous years, I got frustrated and went to my bed. I am sure now you can understand why. It's not like my birthday hopes are high, right? I mean, don't fairy goddesses come to you and make your fantasies come true? I know many people are surprised, like me, where their fairy godmother is ... especially on the day when it's your special day.
