A source close to the matter said, “Reliance wanted to do a wait-and-watch ceremony. There is so much money and publicity involved. Sooryavanshi is the biggest movie of 2020. Any delay means a loss of several crores. However, Akshay swung into action after the Delhi administration decided to shut down the theatres. He made it clear that the release of the film should be postponed for the time being.
The Delhi administration's decision to close theaters till March 31 will have a huge impact on this week's big release Angrezi Medium.
Kishan Damani, Distributor of Angrezi Medium, Bihar says, “The collection is going to be badly affected. Three states of Kerala, Jammu, and Kashmir, and Delhi have closed theatres. There is panic all around. Angrezi Medium's target audience is most likely not to step out of their homes. We are going through an unprecedented crisis."
Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar disagree on the 'Sooryavanshi' release date?
After the postponement of 'Sooryavanshi' since March last year, a lot has been said about the film's release and also whether it might release online. With the theatrical release pretty much confirmed, it seems that Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar cannot agree about the date.
Initially, it was said that the film will release this month but Shetty has said that it is not likely and is believed to release in June or July this year. However, it is rumored that according to a report in Spotboye, Kumar doesn't really agree with it.
